Can't Get You Off My Mind

from You Are Everything I Need by Larry Santos

/

about

“Can’t Get You Off My Mind” is the flipside of “We Can’t Hide It Anymore”, plus it is the fourth track on side 1 from Larry Santos' self-titled 1975 album and also the eighth track on side 2 from Larry Santos' 1976 follow-up, “You Are Everything I Need”. ‘70s pop star Peter Lemongello covered this song, written by Iran Koster, Alessandro Randazzo and Victoria Pike as a single in 1976; that same year pop star Frankie Valli covered this song from his popular album, “Valli”, released by Private Stock under catalog number PS-2017.

lyrics

Mountains high
Rivers flowing
Skies of blue beckon to Me
Restless soul
Keep on going
Spending life being free, being free

Chorus:
(Well) And I can't get You off My mind
No matter what I do
I just can't get You off My mind
I turn around and there You are
You're everywhere I go; You're every One that I know
You're everything I see
I don't know what's happening to Me
What's happening to Me

Well, it's a perfect day
The sun is shining
I wish that You could share it with Me
Each night I dream
I start crying
Can't You hear Me call out Your name?
I call out Your Name

Repeat Chorus

And I can't get You off My mind
No matter what I do
I just can't get You off My mind
No matter how I try
I just can't get You off My mind
I turn around and there You are
I just can't get You off My mind
No matter what I do
I just can't get You off My mind
